The Elizabethan Era was said to have been the best age of its time because the British were more optimistic, more expansive and their economy grew. The Elizabethan Era also celebrated music, poetry and literature so it was an important part of English history.

Queen Elizabeth was born on the 7th of September 1533 and died on the 24th of March 1603. She reigned for 41 years and was said to be one of the best Queens of England.
Queen Elizabeth was the person who actually made the English Church official which was also known as the Anglican Church. The Catholics were secretly trying to overthrow Queen Elizabeth, but when they got discovered the persecution of Catholics continued, usually when a priest was captured they would be tortured or executed if they did not cooperate with the English authorities.

Some of the most popular music pieces were the ones that were folk music, classical and ballads. The most popular plays were the ones that were historical as well as comedy and tragedy.
